Day 1:
Leaving Da lat for Lak lake,we will visit he highlights of the city such as French district,Da Lat railway station, dragon Pagoda. we will head for the countryside to do trek up to the mountain for 30 minutes to enjoy the nature.After that, To explore and understand the rural life of the loacal farmers who cultivate flowers, coffee, mushrooms, vegetables. Then we’ll stop for lunch, and try the different dishes of local Vietnamese cuisine for about 40 minutes.And then we’ll see the Elephant waterfall,Silk Factory, the orange agent areas to learn more about the Civil War of Vietnam before 1975, followed by trekking through the jungle to relax and enjoy the breath-taking nature of the Central Highlands, and visit a rice wine making house,the local market,the floating village and the rice agriculture of the M’nong ethnic minority.We will end tour in Lak Lake around 5pm.Lak will be a place where you’ll stay overnight, you can choose a homestay with locals or in the hotel that faces the natural 600,000 sq m lake.
Day 2:
Before we depart Lak Lake for Buon Me Thuot City we’ll learn about the daily life of locals, riding elephant to explore the area or riding a boat around the lake to have some great shots of the sunrise on the lake, or of the fishermen, perhaps trekking to the top of the Elephant Rock to enjoy a panoramic view of the area. We’ll then move on and stop in the city to try Vietnamese fresh spring rolls for lunch.
Heading to Dray Sap fall (the most beautiful waterfall) where you can dip your body into the Fairy Pool next to waterfall after a hot day traveling before moving on to Virgin waterfall and staying overnight in the bungalow or in the Long House in the jungle.
Day 3:
The third day will involve traveling on the old Ho Chi Minh trail to learn more about the history of Vietnamese people during the French colony and the Civil War, the daily life of highlanders who live along the roads to learn how they make rice paper, noodles. Then Pleiku is the place where you stay overnight after a long days ride.
Day 4:
On the fourth day you’ll visit the city then head to Sea Lake, which used to be a volcanic crater that stopped working a million years ago, a great place to take some good photos for the trip, a place that is also considered the ‘Eyes of Pleiku’. We’ll then continue traveling to Kon Tum where you can visit Kon Tum Prison, an old wooden church, the local orphanage, and in particular the Kon Ktu village where you can meet the Ede hill tribes in their Rong house and learn their traditions, cultures, customs and daily life. You’ll stay overnight in Kon Tum.
Day 5:
The fifth day you will continue traveling on the Ho Chi Minh trail to visit the well-known Phoenix Airport, Charlie hill to find out more about the war between the Northern and Southern Governments. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the different cultures of Ch’ru, Bana, Thai tribes, amongst some of the 44 different ethnic minorities in the Central Highlands. Reaching Kham Duc, a mountain town on Ho Chi Minh trail, we’ll stop and stay overnight.
Day 6:
Today, you can explore the local market of the mountain town of Kham Duc to learn more about the rural life of the highlanders as well as other ethnic minorities. Leaving Kham Duc for A Luoi, after visiting the marvelous Truong Son Mountain and more of the Ho Chi Minh trail, the typical Rong houses of Tay hill tribe, etc, we’ll then stay overnight in A Luoi
Day 7:
Leaving A Luoi for Hue, we can visit the historic vestiges of Hamburger hill, Ho Chi Minh trail, Minh Mang tomb, and citadel. Go to small villages to see how they make conical hats, such as Nam Giao old village. Arrive in Hue around 4 p.m.
Day 8:
Hue used to be the ancient capital of Vietnam, so it’s worth staying one day to visit and learn more about the Vietnamese traditions, history, customs, and culture, before going to visit Linh Mu pagoda, Kim Long old village, where you can learn about the making of the traditional rice wine, the way the locals harvest rice on the fields, and also visit the Hue Museum, citadel, and ride on a boat to listen to Hues folk songs at night
Day 9:
Leaving Hue for Dong Hoi, you’ll stop off in the DMZ and then travel on to the Vinh Moc tunnels to learn more about the Civil War of Vietnam before 1975. Continue traveling on to the Ho Chi Minh trail to see the breath-taking nature of Northern Truong Son mountain, and then get to Dong Hoi around 5 p.m and stay overnight.
Day 10:
You’ll leave early in the morning to visit historic vestige Phu Hoa church, the ‘battle field village’, and continue following the Ho Chi Minh trail to Phong Nha Caves, one of the two natural world heritages of Vietnam. Spend around 4 hours exploring the area by foot and boat before staying overnight in Phong Nha.
Day 11:
Leave the marvelous Phong Nha Caves to visit Da Nhay beach, the shrimp farms, a salt making village, and stop on the top Ngang Pass to see the amazing scenery, before reaching Ky Anh around 5 p.m and stay overnight.
Day 12:
Leave Ky Anh for Vinh (Ho Chi Minh’s homeland), visiting along the way; Huong Tich pagoda, the historic vestige Dong Loc Three Way Crossroad, The Nguyen Du Great Poet Monument, and then Ho Chi Minh Square. You’ll then stay overnight in Vinh.
Day 13:
After nearly two weeks on the road, we’ll push further along the road to visit Sen village, where Ho Chi Minh was born and grew up, as well as Chua village, to visit the Ba Trieu temple, then go to different smaller villages to see the locals make the traditional mats, marble stones and watch the way they roll and process tobacco, you will be arriving in Thanh Hoa around 5p.m and stay overnight.
Day 14:
Two weeks in! Now you’ll leave Thanh Hoa in the early morning for Hoa Binh after visiting Ho Dynasty Citadel, and continue following the Ho Chi Minh trail to get some great photos before visiting the Spiritual Fish Springs, Fairy Caves, and visit the Muong Homestay and meet the locals, then we’ll stay overnight night in Hoa Binh
Day 15:
Leaving Hoa Binh for Hanoi, on the route we’ll visit the Viet – Muong village, Hoa Binh lake, and enjoy the wonderful views on the top of Hoa Binh Hydro Electricity Dam, and go to a small village to see their daily life working with wood. We’ll finish in Hanoi around 5 pm .
